Debra Parker Romero, sculptor and owner of Old World St. Nicks, specializes in creating original handmade Santas , elves, and other fantasy figures and ornaments.
As a young girl growing up in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, Debra's love of arts and crafts was inspired and encouraged by her grandmother, who taught her the basics of crafting.
After years of exploring many forms of arts and crafts, she found her calling and true passion in sculpting after her husband bought her a spot in a sculpting course for a wedding anniversary gift.
Debra's creations have been in featured in national publications and honored for both the quality of the sculpture and the exceptional detail in the costuming and accessories that she also creates. Debra has said that, "Designing and making costumes for my boys is like the icing on the cake. There is much time, thought, pleasure and love in each of my pieces."
Debra resides in Buford, Georgia with her husband of thirty-three years. She is the mother of five children and has four grandchildren.
